According to Dave:
"Ok, well they don't call it "Iron Mountain" for nothing. The course was BRUTAL! Scorching heat and not a level place on the bike or the run. Endured full body cramps for the entire 13 mile run. It was a death march. To put the course conditions in perspective, Iron Mountain took me about 90 minutes longer to complete the 70.3 miles than the New Orleans Half Ironman of the same distance. Chalk one up for experience. Hot and hilly does not suit a 200lb guy with heat issues. Despite the 6h 33 minutes of torture, I was able to gut out 3rd in my age group while Amy (total beast) got 2nd in her age group."
