A huge congratulations to Phil McCarthy for his very impressive run this
weekend (May 13) at 3 Days at the Fair in Augusta NJ. In the 48 hour race Phil came
in with the intention of shooting for the record and achieved it
impressively. He started out strong and kept an amazing pace for almost the
entire race. In speaking with him after the race he said he did lay down
for 5-10 minutes at a time 3 or 4 times over the 48 hours but never went to
sleep.
He ran 300 laps on the .8578 mile loop for a total mileage of 257.34
